- Advance index slide to move catheter over the needle into the vessel, similar to standard peripheral IV placement.

Advance thumb slide past “click”
- Advance Thumb Slide until there is a tactile and audible “click”, indicating engagement of passive needle safety and integration of the luer hub with catheter connector.
